To Walmart I Go Again (hopefully) pt 1

When I first moved back up here (Upstate New York) on Feb 22, 2011 I got a job working at Wal-Mart in Horseheads on March 24, 2011. I worked there for 3 months. In this three months time my soon to be ex-husband sent people in to harass me to sign the divorce paperwork (he was in a big hurry to marry the women he had been cheating on me with for 2 years.) Also my child was having missing daddy issues. So I moved out of the area (up to Branchport, an hour away) and soon after ask to be let go of my job. The managers understood completely and also thought that it was a good idea. They gave me a separation notice so when I was ready I could be hired to a Wal-Mart closer to me. My Child also went to live with her father and is doing very well as far as I have been told. I do not talk to her because she blames me for everything that happened and makes me feel like complete crap when I do talk to her.

So fast forward to now….. A few days ago I filled out an application online to work at a Wal-Mart closer to me. This morning I got a call for an interview. (My cell phone does not work well up here so I got a voice mail.) I am in the process of trying to get a hold of the lady to get an interview scheduled. She is in meetings until 2:30 so I will call as soon as the meeting is over.

Until I have more>>>>>>>

Laundry Room Organization

My messy laundry room. I did no painting just picking up and straightening. I did add one piece of wood to the top of the washer and dryer so basket could fit there and no more stuff would fall behind. I hate that and what a fire hazard as well.

What a mess

still a big mess

ugg

so much better.
The wood is flooring for the kitchen.
It has been sitting here and in the barn for over a year.
One day it will be put down.
I spray painted my frig black a few months back.
It was a GOOD thing the wood floor was not down then.

look how nice

Next will be the pantry that is the door way to the right in the first picture

Link Up Thread Organization

Sew Many Ways is an awesome blog. She is having another one of her great linking parties. For the first time I am going to link. I have seen many linking parties before that I would have loved to link too, but I am always to late. BUT this time I am not!!

The link party is thread organization.

My craft room is still not finished so my stuff is in 4 different places. (Sons room, middle spare bedroom, living room and barn). But my thread organization was easy enough to get to too share.

First I LOVE my Gutermann Thread. At this point I believe I have almost every color. Ok I am missing a couple but not many. These three holders can be found here. The only difference is my thread is 100% Polyester and the holders on the web site are 100% cotton. I bought them a few years back on Black Friday so perhaps the Polyester ones are only available at this time of year.

The process to organize all the thread was a pain in the butt; however it is wonderful now that it is finished. I started by figure out how many polyester colors Gutermann had. I visited many, many, many web sites and got a list of all the color numbers. Then I used the cool Microsoft word format tool and got all the numbers in order. I printed all of these numbers on label paper and cut them out using my scrapbook cutting tools. I covered up all the numbers in order with the new sticky numbers. Then I took all of the thread out of the holders got all my other Gutermann thread (huge pile) and started sliding them all into there new labeled homes.

Another thread that I have is Coats & Clark mini cone things. When I bought my embroidery machine I got several money coupons to only us in there store. The sales people told me that this thread is the best for my Brother embroidery. (My machine likes the Gutermann better.. shh don’t tell the sales people). So I have this thread and some other small spools of thread in 5 of these (also Joann's) that just sit on a shelf under my cutting table.

For my bobbins and thread that has not been put away yet I have a wire basket that I put a piece of material in.  I wrap my bobbins and other thread with baby hair ties that I got at the dollar tree.

I just started Cross Stitching again. (Only because there is a way cute design that I need for my craft room when it is done.) So I bought a floss caddy from Joann that came with 100 floss cards. I forgot that cross stitch floss can also be considered thread.

Master Bathroom update

I have been kind of doing stuff. Well maybe not. But I am out of my funk and charging ahead to get some stuff done. I will be doing several posts today to catch up on what has happened.

The master bathroom is not completely done but it is much, much better. I am finding that these bigger projects take a long time to do with no help. It makes me very frustrated that I can’t just twitch my nose and have it done. (any one else remember that show? Please say yes. I do not want to be old alone!)

Remember this is a single wide mobile home.

Ok so the master bathroom looked like this:

Here is the bathroom updated. Not finished but ohhh so much better!!!!!!!!!

There is trim around that BRIGHT window

bad pix. the little hats under the picture are very cute.

I am looking to replace this shelf with a pretty white one.

not sure how to frame the mirror so it stays on the wall.

I got this material at a sale for $14. yah.
A little side by side:
